Global Com has been awarded the complete IT scope renovation of the historic Yates Building, headquarters of the US Forest Service! As a design/build project, Global Com will deploy the USFS specified requirements. The design included Cisco Wireless, In Focus’s Mondo Pads for collaboration, all supported by the Tellabs GPON architecture. The design further supports all USFS applications and services, maintains USFS system security integrity and complies with Section 270000 and historical preservation regulations.

When complete, the Yates building will support a modern, mobile work force with flexible works spaces, lots of collaborative meeting space, 100% wireless, and a Distributed Antenna System for mobile use. This building will be the model for several USDA build-outs in the future.
